Hi friends! I hope all of you are having an amazing week! I’ve been so busy with school, being in between jobs, and other responsibilities. Nevertheless, I’m happy to be sitting down and sharing with all of you!
So for today’s blog post, I want to start off by asking y’all this question: at this current time, what is important to you?
For some of us, it’s our families.
For others, it’s school and our goals to become professionals.
For many of us, it could be both.
The list could go on, but what I’m trying to say is what we consider as important in our lives vary depending on who you talk to.
And that can change as we grow older.
For example, when I was 13, the only things that were important to me were having a lot of friends, fitting in, among other things.
When I was 15, the only things that were important to me, were seeing how many followers I could get on social media. The same can be said when I was 16.
The whole aim of this blog post is to talk about what I think is really important in my life, now and maybe that can translate to similar things in your life! Let’s get started!
Family
If this is your first time on my blog, I’m big on family (see here and here).
Being from a Hispanic heritage, family is honestly one of the most beautiful things anyone could have in their lives.

From advice to absolutely funny moments, for me, I feel like I can be myself around my family. It’s important to me to have those relationships in my life because, quite frankly, they are a part of me. They are my most fervent supporters and I know that if I’m ever in a rut or need someone to talk to, they’re only a phone call or text away.

Plus, we make some bomb food.
School and Career Goals
Now, the reason why I’ve lumped this together is because a lot of the goals I have and how I want to accomplish them cannot be accomplished without going to school.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve become more driven and more aware of what I want to do with my life professionally, so much so that I have a 5 year plan and a 10 year plan. In short, my 5 year plan is to work in Lifestyle and Travel PR and my 10 year plan is to dip my foot into the realm of digital marketing.
Since I am a college senior, I’m graduating pretty soon, so thinking about this kind of plan is the norm.
My goals are so important to me because they’re what keep me in motion. They give me a sense of direction and they help me stay accountable.
I’ve struggled with depression. When I was in the thick of it, I remember feeling so lost and having no sense of direction. Essentially, what I learned was that once you find what you like, you create a road map (what you intend to do and how you’re going to do it, etc.). Once I did that, I became more focused on my goals and the rest is history haha.
God(or any higher power)
I don’t typically bring this kind of topic about in my posts, but I feel that this is the important thing in my life. My belief in God isn’t just a cultural thing, but it’s the thing in my life that really gives me a sense of purpose.
As I grow in my faith, I start to see how important my relationship with God is and how He helps me navigate through some pretty awful storms in my life.
I’m thankful to God for the new days that He brings me, the people He brings into my life, all of it. Whenever I feel like there is something I can’t understand, I leave it to Him. My belief is, He has the answers and I just gotta trust what He brings me.
I’ve come to the revelation that God doesn’t do anything that is inherently bad, because He is a God who loves and only wants the best for us. Anything bad that does happen, isn’t by God or any higher power, for that matter, but the idea here is that: it’s those situations that really should help turn us to Him or any higher power that you believe. Then again, it’s all in perspective.
So I hope that you enjoyed a little bit of what I had to say in terms of what is really important and I really hope that you look for things in your life that give you that sense of purpose and direction.
Sending Love and Light your way,
