Hi there! Welcome to my page, My name’s Karen, I’m 23 years old and I’m a Senior Public Relations major at Kean University. When I graduate with my Bachelor’s, I hope to work in Lifestyle and Travel PR. I started this blog a little over four years ago, with the hope that I can reach people, near and far, and talk about things that almost all of us goes through in our twenties.
A thing about me that you wouldn’t have guessed is that I have gone to not one, not two, but three colleges in the span of 5 years! My road to education has been a convoluted one, but I have gained so much clarity from each stage in my life and I have come out of these situations learning more about myself. I definitely feel that I can pass on what I have learned, at each stage in my life.
I have always loved writing about anything that comes to mind. Throughout most of my life, I’ve kept journals filled with ideas and the mundane occurrences in my everyday life… I love drafting new blog posts for all of you. I normally blog about are lifestyle and travel hacks, followed by some occasional mental health topics and things I stumble upon that are worth talking about.
At a couple of points in my life, I’ve had my bout with depression and anxiety, which I talk about openly on here. Thankfully I can say that I’ve recovered from it and it’s given me so much more clarity in my life.
When I blog, I try to use gender-neutral pronouns when I refer to people in my anecdotes and I stay away from all things political and controversial. You will not see me voice my opinions on anything that will most likely have me dragged online. I like to maintain harmony on my site, in a world where there is not. So my one rule for you, as my reader, is to not comment anything that is rude or controversial on any of my posts.
Another thing about me is that I’m an avid traveler! So far, I’ve traveled to Aruba, Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Colombia, and St. Maarten, just to name a few places.
When I’m not blogging, I like to spend time with my family, go out shopping, read a good book, and go on adventures with friends.
I live at home with my mom, dad, aunt and younger brother. In my eyes, family is everything. Just about everything I know about my Colombian culture and life itself, is because of them.
All of my posts come from a place of love, acceptance and understanding. So sit back, relax and tune in for a story or two!
